mutbeats
Maccough · Mutbeats
Mutbeats is a series of sound works built from field recordings, samples and synthesized sound. The ambient sounds and the sound of the sculptures at Nikola-Lenivets were recorded on a portable Zoom H1 recorder. The compositions also use samples collected from game consoles and other digital devices, instruments and applications for the iPhone 5s, and the Access Virus TI and Dave Smith Instruments Mopho Desktop synthesizers.
Individual compositions were performed live on a Roland SP-303 sampler and also exist as video recordings of those performances.
